Hello! I’m Darian, and I’m so glad you’re here.

Being a therapist has always been my dream job, and I’m incredibly grateful to get to work in this role every day. Outside of the office, you’ll usually find me moving- I love hiking, running, skiing, or really anything that lets me get outside and in the sun. I am an extrovert who is passionate about making ample time to connect with family and friends, especially if this involves enjoying iced lattes or ordering delicious (and usually spicy) food.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I hold an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Ottawa, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I am also trained in EMDR therapy by the Humanitarian Assistance Program, approved by the EMDR International Association.

I have years of research experience in both the female pelvic health and palliative care contexts, which have equipped me with a deep appreciation for the nuanced ways trauma, illness, and loss can shape emotional experience. This has reinforced my commitment to approaching therapeutic work with sensitivity, curiosity, and respect.

I am especially passionate about trauma-focused work and understanding how past adverse experiences impact present-day wellbeing, whether that appears as generalized anxiety, low self-esteem, persistent fears, or difficulties with sleep. I believe that meaningful change happens when we address these concerns at their source, gently exploring the experiences that have informed how a person moves through the world. EMDR is a way to engage with these root causes, integrate them, and create space for new patterns of safety, confidence, and self-trust to emerge.

If you’re feeling ready to explore what’s beneath your challenges and create room for new ways of feeling safe and in control, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you. Let’s get started!
